JOB TITLE: STATISTICIAN - BEDFORDSHIRE - PHARMA/BIOPHARMA/BIOTECH/MEDICAL DEVICES

My Client is a leader in diagnostic products and they are seeking a Statistician on a permanent basis.

Salary: (£Negotiable)

Position Overview
To provide statistical support and direction for the Research and Development activities of the company. This will include (but not restricted to) design of experiments and clinical investigations, analysis of data, reporting of statistical analysis and interactions with the regulatory authorities.
Reporting Structure
The position will report to the Statistics Group Leader, who has responsibilities for the Data Management and Statistics Function of the Company.
Performance Objectives
The role of statistician requires that you review protocols and advise on study/trial design and statistical aspects of protocols within a week.
To undertake appropriate statistical analyses and report the results of these analyses resulting from experiments and trials relating to product verification and validation, production support, clinical trials and marketing support trials within two weeks.
To encourage the use of good statistical practice throughout the organisation by advocating experimental design., appropriate statistical analysis, interpretation and reporting within three months
To act as a statistical consultant throughout the organisations, including but not restricted to R&D scientists, clinicians,
Product support, marketing and new technologies within one month.
Requirements/Education:
You must have degree in mathematics with statistics, or statistics with a MSc or PhD in Statistics.
At least 3 years relevant research and development experience in a statistical consultancy role, ideally obtained in a medical devices or medical Diagnostics environment.
Be competent in SAS for statistical analysis, report generation and SAS/Graph and marcos.
Be a Six Sigma green belt or be able to demonstrate a competance in DOE and SPC for design.
Team player with a realistic and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Adaptable to change.
