Process Development Scientist jobs in Oxfordshire

My client, a Biopharmaceutical company based in Oxfordshire is seeking a Process Development Scientist on a permanent basis.

Salary: Circa 25k

Purpose:
To provide a protein expression, purification and analytical capability in order to facilitate development of downstream processes for a range of candidate therapeutic proteins.
Responsibilities
1. Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable downstream processes using a variety of protein purification techniques for candidate therapeutic proteins and their components
2. Contribute to the transfer of developed downstream processes and provide technical support to a Contract Manufacturer for the production of candidate therapeutic proteins.
3. Contribute to the characterisation of candidate therapeutic proteins using a range of biochemical and biophysical techniques.
4. Ensure that work is performed to a high scientific standard.
5. Assist in the day to day running of the laboratory, including maintaining a clean, safe and well-stocked working environment
6. Maintain appropriate records and logs of experimental work as directed by line management
7. Supply data to agreed timescales in an appropriate form to enable preparation of reports, publications and presentations
8. Present data to support company programmes
9. Supply data to agreed timescales to maintain and advance intellectual property
10. To fulfill the role of laboratory supervisor (if appropriate), ensuring all laboratory quality and safety regulations are adhered to
11. To undertake work in accordance with Safety and Quality Systems
Requirements:
Degree in relevant biological science (or at least 3 years relevant laboratory experience)
3+ years practical experience of Downstream Process Development
Practical laboratory experience of standard biochemical analytical techniques
Experience of technology transfer
Experience of drug discovery
