General Manager - PEX Academy - Head of Asia Satellite (JG-56/57)

To support and develop PEX facilitation and coaching skills for the global Maersk Line organisation - with focus on the Asian Regions

•Responsible for leading the Asia Satellite set-up and team for the PEX Academy

•Responsible for providing facilitation and support of PEX workshops

•Responsible for providing coaching and facilitation skills to support the delivery of PEX workshops and development of PEX skills internally

•Provide facilitation of the following workshops
o PEX Basics
o Process Leaders
o Green Belt
o Six Thinking Hats
o Kaizen Workshops

•Provide coaching for the following audience
o Development of Black Belts
o Development of Belt coaches
o Coaching of local facilitators
o PEX Basics facilitation skills
o Kaizen workshop skills
o Local leadership workshop facilitation skills
o Project reviews for certification

•Align plans and capacity needs for Academy support with the Regional PEX teams in support of the overall PEX strategy

•Coordinate strategic and continuous improvement activities with the PEX Academy team in Centre

•Lead and develop own staff

•Coordinate and align with local GSC leadership on local matters and practicalities

Desired Candidate Profile

•Black Belt or Master Black Belt in Six Sigma

•Preferably Masters level education with focus on engineering, change management or learning design

•Extensive experience with applying process excellence methodologies to improve business performance

•Extensive experience with developing both individual and groups through training, facilitation and/or coaching approaches

•Experience in dealing with different cultures

•Ability to present and explain complex matters in a clear and easy to understand way

•Empathize with others and their situation

•Listen actively and respond with explorative questions

•Easily builds strong working relationships with people at all levels

•High level of self-drive and ability to work independently

•Demonstrates personal enthusiasm and encourage others

•Evaluates situations quickly and makes effective interventions

•Good ability to self leadership - ability to lead without a formal reporting structure

•High level of self awareness and maturity in dealing with conflicts and soft issues

•Ability to continuously challenge existing ways of thinking and working - have the self-confidence to do so

•Highly credible and influential in general business and PEX related matters

•Outstanding command of written and spoken English is required
