Our client is a global oilfield provider of engineered services and products primarily to the offshore oil and gas industry, with a focus on deepwater applications. Through the use of its applied technology expertise, our client also serves the defence and aerospace industries.
Their business offerings include remotely operated vehicles, mobile offshore production systems, built-to-order specialty subsea hardware, engineering and project management, subsea intervention and installation services, non-destructive testing and inspections, and manned diving.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Management of the Asset Corrosion Control Strategy, the associated practices and the provision of general corrosion engineering support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be competent to approve the management and implementation of the Corrosion Control Strategy covering the corrosion monitoring inspection activities of pressure systems, pressure plant, pipework and structures.
Must be competent to interpret corrosion/inspection monitoring data in the database and approve changes in the corrosion criticality analysis and monitoring/inspection programme where appropriate.
Ensure that the company's Asset interfaces between functional areas e.g. downhole, topside, pipelines, subsea, are maintained with respect to corrosion monitoring and inspection.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and dealing with clients. Must have Offshore Medical and Survival Certificates and be physically fully capable of overseeing all corrosion monitoring activities.

Required Qualifications:

Chartered or Incorporated Engineer / Degree/HNC Level
5 years engineering experience of Pressure Systems and corrosion
