Projects can range from short, routine technical studies through to more complex pieces of work that involve a team of engineers, where each individual can provide specialist expertise and problem solving skills. Due to planned business growth the recently opened Dubai office is flourishing and born of this success is a need for an experienced Petroleum Engineer to lead a current team of four Petroleum Engineers. As Team Leader you will be in large responsible for the success of the Dubai office. Initially this will come from your ability to mentor more junior engineers through their day to day duties ensuring they stay to time and budget on current projects. From here you will progress to using your experience to gain more projects and to grow the team as the business requires. Reporting to the Managing Director you will have autonomy in the day to day running of the office & staff. You will therefore be confident not only in your engineering experience but also your ‘people management' skills. We are seeking a Team Leader or Petroleum Engineer who has held a position of responsibility and who can show they can work on multiple projects, completing them to time and budget. You will be able to drive these results through others whilst maintaining a motivated team. Initially there is a large body of previously generated ‘secure' projects however you will be responsible for maintaining existing and developing further clients and work in the area. Being able to build strong working relationships is a must. Desired Skills/Experience: • Conceptual to detailed field, well and completion option selection and design and field development planning, including decision, risk and economic analysis • Flow modelling, nodal analysis and optimisation for reservoir near-wellbore and lower completion behaviour, single well and integrated asset networks • Sand failure analysis, control and management • Artificial lift design, analysis and optimisation • Downhole, subsea and surface data system feasibility definition, design and management • Production behaviour monitoring, reporting, analysis and definition of remedial intervention and optimisation strategies • Well integrity management • Well and production risk, reliability and availability modelling • Asset evaluation and due diligence • Production engineering functional consulting including client capability development, technology programme management and development of petroleum engineering management and governance systems
