Our client offers a diverse portfolio of engineering support services and products to the upstream and downstream oil and gas markets throughout the world. Their gas centre in Aberdeen is an established provider of a range of risk based integrity services that support and enhance asset operation and maintenance. We are currently looking for an Assistant Naval Architect/Structural Project Engineer to work as part of a dedicated team in a client-facing role. The Integrity Services Department/FPSO Group has a requirement for an Assistant naval Architect/Structural Project Engineer to assist in a variety of challenging work. We require a Naval Architect or equivalent to interpret design drawings, produce inspection workbooks, and write summary reports among other activities. As part of the structural integrity team you will provide marine structural integrity support to a variety of clients on FPSO's, semi-submersibles and fixed structures and after suitable training experience may be given the opportunity to go offshore. The work is varied, with the chance to get involved in a wide variety of real life structural problems. Experience of how offshore structures are managed will quickly be gained. You will have a degree in Naval Architecture or a related subject. Experience in any of the following will be advantageous: Inspection of floating structures You will also need good communication skills, including technical report writing; the ability to work to tight deadlines and adaptability
