Capabilities and Responsibilities:
• Have a thorough knowledge of contractual obligations with regard to Scope of Work, Mechanical Completion and PAC
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills including computer literacy
• Have a thorough knowledge of proven pre-commissioning procedures such as piston blowing, power flushing, chemical cleaning, steam blowing, catalyst loading, equipment alignment, acceptance criteria etc
• Have a thorough perception of HSE issues in all phases of construction & and pre-commissioning especially toxic gas, inert gas, high pressure tightness etc
• Formulate Method Statements & Risk Assessments and approve them from Consultant and Client
• Interface and coordinate Vendor scope and inter-related activities
• Plan the pre-commissioning activities by systems handover priorities
• Interact with Engineering, Construction, Testing, E/I to ensure systems completion priority are met
• Plan and procure special materials and consumables for bolt tension/torque, catalyst loading, tightness tests and other contractual requirements.
• Lead a team of experienced piping and millwright supervisors by providing guidance, training, delegating responsibility & distribution of work.
• Identify blowing/flushing circuits on P & IDs including use of existing facilities, temporary spools, bursting discs etc
• Implement strategies to minimize re-work, recover slippages and maintain high morale and safety
• Expedite the closure of punch lists, forms sign-off and Certification requirements.
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum 10 years of varied experience in Piping Fabrication, QA/QC, Testing, Maintenance of Rotating Equipment and Pre-commissioning of Piping and Equipment in the Oil, Gas and/or Chemical Industry. Knowledge of Oil & Gas Process Flows and properties of related products is an added advantage though not crucial but the ability to interact effectively with Consultant and Client in PC & C field is definitely a plus point.
