Senior Welding Engineer jobs in Greater London

The Role
The position is for a Senior welding Engineer with specification and component qualification experience together with specific knowledge of interfacing with pipelines to take a key role in a major subsea projects.
The successful Senior Welding Engineer will need to demonstrate expertise in the following areas;
• selection and specification of materials for the welding of subsea pipelines
• Liaising with NDT departments on a advisory basis
• welding and joining procedures for the above
• vendor support, including evaluation of equipment manufacturing and construction procedures for the above
The position of Subsea Welding Engineer maybe either on a Permanent basis. The position is full time and Salary / Rate will be relevant to experience and qualifications.

Some offshore work will be required.

Required Skills/Experience:
It would also be an advantage to have experience in some of the following areas;

• design and operation of welding procedures
• assessment and material selection for welding subsea pipelines

Applicants should have Bsc and or Msc qualifications in metallurgy, materials, mechanical, welding engineering and demonsratable dedicated work experience.
