Job Description:

A Geotechnical Engineer with the ability to use practical and theory based skills to problem solve for Project Engineering Teams.

Job Description:

• Contribute to the team through proactive learning and ideas.
• Ensure the quality of work issued is high and conforms to Group procedures.
• Seek advice and input from Principal, Senior Geotechnical Engineers and Geotechnics Manager where appropriate.
• Engage with more experienced team members and peers to develop an understanding of the organisation and industry trends.
• Project Support
• Provide a link between project management teams and OED.
• Liaise with project management teams to clarify aspects of the work and complete tasks within the agreed timeframe.
• Provide support in the most convenient location for the project team.
• Research and Development
• Become involved with on-going programmes by undertaking allocated tasks and development work.

Required Skills/Experience:
It would be advantageous for the candidate to have relevant working experience within a similar role - In exceptional circumstances a graduate may be considered.

Desired Skills/Experience:
Experience of subsea geotechnical engineering problems would be excellent, particularly should you have experience in the fields of trenching and soil/pipeline interaction.

Required Qualifications:
A good level Civil Engineering degree is essential.

Desired Qualifications:
Post graduate studies in soil mechanics would be preferred.
