Lead Piping Engineer jobs in Greater London

As the Lead Piping Engineer you will be accountable for the safe, efficient plant design development to comply with agreed project codes and good engineering practices. You will be meeting the requirements of the project Design Basis and specifications whilst of course, ensuring minimal risk to personnel across multiple execution centres, fabrication and construction sites.

Duties will include;
• Developing manhour estimates and CTRs and review with Management for permission and submission to the Project.
• Coaching, teaching and providing effective supervision of assigned personnel.
• Chairing and organization of regular meetings to present to client, third party and other discipline leads.
• Ensuring that project staff, are aware of the requirements of the project schedule and their role within.
• Relating the project piping organization and establish assignment dates of all personnel, including mobilization of computer hardware/software and any training needs.
• Setting objectives for personal development needs.
• Ensuring quality control is maintained through specific work methods and procedures, piping standards and specifications.
• Establishing and defining the specific construction design deliverable requirements.
• Ensuring the quality control of the deliverable processes.
• Aiding the periodic design reviews including 3D model presentations.
• Finding the data review needs of the Supplier within the discipline.
• Controlling the budget/schedule and report back to project and discipline management.
• Ensuring discipline complies with the requirements of the Project Change Management procedure, including collation of impacted manhours and schedule/weight implications.
• Resolve fabrication and field construction enquiries.

Required Skills & Experience

A minimum of 10 - 15 years experience in the industry

Desired Skills & Experience

Leadership of a previous project(s).

Required Qualifications

At minimum, you will posses a HNC, HND or degree qualification in Engineering

Desired Qualifications

Ideally, you will be a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer
