Our client has 50 years experience in it's field and is among the 5 major players in full-service engineering and construction services in oil and gas industry, employing over 20,000 people worldwide. Due to growth and a resulting increased workload, our client is looking to appoint an experienced HSEQ professional to lead their QHSES team near Inverness.
The QHSES Lead will fulfil a senior role, empowered to support the management in all matters related to Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Security (QHSES).

Leading a small team of QHSE professionals, the QHSES Lead will network with internal and external customers, and in articular with the principle contractor to ensure that the highest QHSES standards are delivered and maintained in accordance with the Company's QHSES Policies, procedures, standards, legislation and industry best practice.

Reporting directly to the General Manager and supported by the Site Operations Manager

The role is an onshore role, based permanently, with some requirement for periods in the Company's Aberdeen Office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day to day supervision of the QHSES Team to ensure delivery of excellence in QHSES. This includes ensuring QHSES Team resource planning, competencies, training and professional development where required.
  • Effective management of the QHSES interfaces with internal and external customers, including in particular the QHSES interface with the principal contractor to ensure efficient operations in accordance with the Company's QHSES standards and expectations.
  • Providing QHSES advice and guidance across the organisation
  • Management System development, maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • Delivery of an Audit Programme, with relevant management reporting and analysis
  • Participation in accident and incident investigation, reporting and closure
  • Promoting a positive QHSES culture
  • Ensuring that all non conformances, defects and deficiencies relating to QHSES matters are promptly reported, properly recorded and satisfactory corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
  • In cooperation with other Departments and the principal contractor, ensure that sufficient training and instruction in QHSES is provided so that employees understand the requirement to work safely and efficiently in accordance with the Company's Policies, Procedures and expectations.
